Cytozyme Laboratories: Fermentation Process Cytozyme Laboratories, Inc. owns a proprietary, multi-stage process that was developed by their scientists. This technology allows them to control the nutrient content of growth media and to manage the biological activity and population dynamics of microbial cultures used to produce Ration Plus for Horses. Thus, they are able to direct the production of Ration Plus which contains balanced, stabilized, biologically active ingredients. Ration Plus for Horses is formulated to sustain the beneficial microbes existing in the horse's digestive tract. GRAS approved microorganisms, naturally found in the horse's digestive tract are utilized in Cytozyme's unique multi-stage fermentation process. In each phase of this process the microbes are stimulated into an accelerated growth cycle which maximizes the production of important metabolites. As the process progresses into the next stage, a new strain of microorganisms along with special supplements are introduced and stimulated into another accelerated growth phase initiating one more cycle in the fermentation process.
